PERMIT #: M- 1982 -154
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: THM
INSPECTION DATE: March 6, 2012
OBSERVATIONS
This inspection was conducted as part of the normal monitoring program established by the Colorado Division of
Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS). Both Mr. and Mrs. Farnsworth accompanied the inspector during the
inspection. The Farnsworth Gr Pit 2 is an 8.4 acre gravel pit located approximately 1.3 miles west of Paonia, Colorado in
Delta County.
The affected area boundary markers are missing or incorrectly placed. This is a problem for failure to maintain boundary
markers around the affected area as required by Section 3.1.12(2) of the rule. The operator shall conduct a survey and
replace the boundary markers in the correct location(s). The operator shall provide proof to the Division that this has been
done by the corrective action date of April 12, 2012.
The Farnsworth Gr Pit 2 was inactive during the inspection. The site appears to be primarily a storage area for equipment
and a work place for the family wood cutting operation.
No noxious weeds were observed during the inspection.
The currently held bond amount of $2,271.00 is adequate at this time.
An electronic copy of this ispection was supplied to both the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Colorado Department
of Public Health and the Environment. If there are any questions regarding this inspection report please contact me at
(970) 241 -2042.
PHOTOGRAPHS
