Depletions covered by this SWSP include water lost <br />due to dewatering, evaporation, aggregate production, and dust control. <br />Dewatering operations are expected to remain continual and constant at a <br />rate of 900 gallons per minute. <br />Exposed Ground Water Surface: 5.6 acres <br />Active Dewatering: Yes <br />Status: Mining operations at the Brighton Pit are complete and reclamation <br />is in progress. Depletions covered by this SWSP include water lost due to <br />evaporation and dust control. The south and central reservoirs are lined <br />(slurry wall) and have obtained SEO liner approval. Reclamation work <br />includes backfilling the remaining exposed areas. <br />Exposed Ground Water Surface: 11.0 acres <br />Active Dewatering: No <br />Status: Mining operations have not started at Tucson South Pit, and are <br />not anticipated to commence until after 2012. This SWSP covers no <br />depletions at this site. <br />Exposed Ground Water Surface: 0.0 acres <br />Active Dewatering: No <br />Status: Mining operations at the Tucson Pit are complete and reclamation <br />is in progress. Depletions covered by this SWSP include water lost due to <br />evaporation and post - pumping dewatering depletions from this site. A <br />portion of the pit (Rogers Reservoir) has been lined (slurry wall) and has <br />obtained SEO liner approval. <br />Exposed Ground Water Surface: 2.0 acres <br />Active Dewatering: No <br />Status: Mining operations at the Wattenberg Pit are not anticipated to <br />occur in 2012. Depletions covered by this SWSP include water lost due to <br />evaporation. <br />Exposed Ground Water Surface: 16.0 acres <br />Active Dewatering: No <br />Status: Mining operations at the Platte Valley Pit are not anticipated to <br />occur in 2012, though reclamation activity consisting of backfilling portions <br />of the site are expected to occur in 2012. Depletions covered by this <br />SWSP include water lost due to evaporation and dust control. <br />Exposed Ground Water Surface: 78.8 acres <br />Active Dewatering: No <br />
