Creek flows southwest and south where it has a confluence with Fourmile Creek
approximately six miles southwest from the City of Victor.
MLE mine disturbance in the Wilson Creek drainage consists of the southern boundary of
the AGVLF, Arequa Gulch ADR ( "AGADR "), and associated surface facilities in the
upper reaches of Bateman Creek. The existing Enhanced Management Practices
( "EMP ") that collect and dissipate storm water runoff are shown on Figure 2 -1.
The North Fork of Wilson Creek (Theresa Gulch) at and above the unincorporated Town
of Goldfield is within the Diatreme as is shown on Figure 1. The remainder of the
Wilson Creek drainage lies in the granites adjacent to the Diatreme as is shown on
Figure 2 -2.
4.1.2 Mine Life Extension 2
MLE2 does not propose to construct any new or expand any existing facilities in the
Wilson Creek drainage. The EMPs will continue in MLE2. The disturbance limits and
the proposed facilities for MLE2 are shown on Figure 2 -2.
MLE2 will not impact any of the existing surface and ground water monitor stations in
the Wilson Creek drainage, including the tributaries.
4.1.3 Surface Water
4.1.3.1 Monitoring Program
Surface water conditions in the Wilson Creek drainage are assessed at six locations.
There are four surface stations in the North Fork of Wilson Creek (including Theresa
Gulch). These stations (in the downstream direction) are T -1, T -2, T -3, and WCSW.
There is one surface water station in Bateman Creek. This station is BCSW. There is
one station in Wilson Creek below the confluence of the North Fork of Wilson Creek and
Bateman Creek. This station is WCSW -01. Surface water stations are shown on Figure
2 -2. T -1 is located within the Diatreme. Surface stations T -2, T -3, WCSW, BCSW, and
WCSW -01 are located over the granites adjacent to the Diatreme. The City of Victor
Wastewater Treatment Plant discharges to Wilson Creek about halfway between T -3 and
WCSW.
' "Granites" collectively refers to the Precambrian granites, granodiontes, schists, and gneiss units that are adjacent to the Diatreme.
'Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company
Cresson Project Hydrologic Evaluation for Mine Life Extension 2
4
