additional gold recovery. Total placement of ore material on the VLFs at the Cresson Project is
anticipated to be no more than 27 MT per year, including the 2 MT per year of agglomerated
ground product coming from the High Grade Mill facilities. Crushed material will be leached on
the existing AGVLF and SGVLF with process solutions. Pregnant solutions (i.e., solution laden
with gold) at SGVLF will be routed through the new SGADR for gold processing activities that
will result in a gold sludge. The gold sludge will be filter pressed and dried before being
transported to the existing AGADR refinery for final gold recovery. Barren solutions (i.e.,
solution from which gold has been removed) at the SGVLF will be recycled for use at the
SGVLF. Pregnant solutions at the existing AGVLF will continue to be directed to the existing
AGADR facility for processing. Barren solutions at the AGADR will be recycled for use at the
AGVLF or may be transferred to the SGVLF via a new pipeline to the new SGADR.
The High Grade Mill will be a 250 -ton per hour grinding, froth flotation, and gold leaching
facility to improve the gold recovery from some of the site's higher grade ore deposits. The ore
coming from the crusher system will be stockpiled near the High Grade Mill facilities and then
fed into the rod/ball mills to grind the ore material into the smaller size needed for milling. From
there the properly sized ore material will be fed into a froth flotation circuit. The froth flotation
will produce gold concentrate slurry that is pumped to a re -grind mill and then transferred to
agitated cyanide leach tanks where gold will be pulled from the ore material into solution. From
the agitated cyanide leach tanks, the concentrate material will be transferred to a CIP circuit
where the gold in solution attaches to activated carbon. The gold - loaded carbon will be
transferred to the AGADR carbon stripping circuit by truck in double - walled containment
vessels. The ground product (or concentrate) from the CIP circuit, after reporting to the
dewatering/agglomeration circuit, will be agglomerated and blended with the crushed ore
material for placement on one of the VLFs for additional gold recovery.
The SGVLF is designed in a similar manner to the existing AGVLF with the same containment
features that have been successfully used at the AGVLF. The design and construction of SGVLF
includes the following elements:
• Relocation of a portion of SH 67 in Squaw Gulch to accommodate the new SGVLF
including:
o Installation of a temporary multi -plate tunnel over existing SH 67 for passage of
highway traffic while allowing construction equipment to pass overtop
o Construction of toe berm across Squaw Gulch to stabilize the SGVLF and provide
the foundation for the new SH 67 alignment
Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company
Cresson Project Mine Life Extension 2
1 -7
