• Repositioning of several historic structures, including portions of the Mary McKinney
crib wall
• Construction of the SGVLF with a footprint area encompassing Squaw /Anaconda and
Swede Gulches
• Reshaping of overburden material placed in SGOSA adjacent to the proposed SGVLF to
accommodate an earthen platform for the new High Grade Mill facilities
• Design of a dedicated Pregnant Solution Storage Area ( "PSSA ") for the SGVLF
• Construction of the SGADR, with power supply, to process solutions from the SGVLF to
recover gold
• Construction of two pipelines (double - walled where located off AGVLF and SGVLF
liner systems) to facilitate transfer of freshwater and barren solution from the AGADR to
the SGADR.
The SGVLF area will consist of an additional +/- 15 million square feet (surface area corrected
for slope) of geomembrane -lined area. The SGVLF will include the use of composite liner
systems, similar to those approved and used for the AGVLF.
Total ore placement for the existing AGVLF has been previously approved at approximately 410
MT. No additional tonnage is planned for placement under MLE2 within the AGVLF. The
SGVLF has been designed for placement of approximately 220 MT. SGVLF will have surface
area of about 346 acres and will have a maximum ore height of 800 feet above the designed
containment liner system.
Approximately 310 MT of overburden (non- economic rock) will be proposed to be removed
during mining of the MLE2 areas. This rock will be backfilled into other portions of the mining
areas or placed in the redesigned ECOSA along with rock from other mining areas already
approved under MLE to establish a post- mining topography as shown in the reclamation plan
drawing (Drawing F -1). Up to approximately 120 MT of overburden will be placed in the
extended and redesigned ECOSA. The SGOSA will be reduced in size due to the location of
SGVLF. The SGOSA Extension will not be used for overburden placement at the Cresson
Proj ect.
The MLE2 will affect approximately 470 additional acres of new disturbance at the Cresson
Project. The SGVLF will add approximately 147.5 acres to the affected acreage and will
reclassify the disturbance category on about 198.5 acres from overburden storage area to VLF.
WHEX extension will add acreage of new disturbance and the remaining new disturbance will
come from the ECOSA extension and ancillary disturbance.
