new SGVLF will be constructed in two phases in the period 2012 through 2017, with ore
placement beginning as early as 2016 on the completed Phase I area. Ore placement on
the SGVLF will continue through about 2025, followed by continued recovery for
approximately eight years or until roughly 2033. The SGVLF will be neutralized for an
approximate six year period followed by reclamation of the SGVLF to begin in about
2039.
There will be some concurrent reclamation of the site, but most mine area and OSA
reclamation will be conducted from about 2026 through 2030 (five years). The AGVLF
will be reclaimed from about 2031 to 2034, with the SGVLF reclaimed by approximately
2041. Ancillary facilities will be reclaimed, as appropriate, in the period from roughly
2033 through 2041.
The total period of operation and reclamation for the Cresson Project under MLE2 is
approximately 2012 -2041. Table 5 -1 provides an overall estimated schedule for
construction, operation, and reclamation of the Cresson Project with the inclusion of
MLE2 facilities. Tables 5 -2 and 5 -3 provide the sequence of mining and overburden
placement, respectively, in each of the mine areas and OSAs by year. Actual
development schedules may vary from those presented below and will be reported in the
annual report to OMLR.
Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company
Cresson Project Mine Life Extension 2
5 -4
