11.3.2 High Volume Solution Collection System Level Monitoring
Water levels in the existing PSSAs for AGVLF are monitored at least weekly as a
component of the HVSCS. The pressure transducers associated with the PSSA pumps
are used to monitor the water levels within the PSSAs. Water levels in the SGVLF
HVSCS will be monitored at least weekly and the pressure transducers associated with
the PSSA pumps will be used to monitor the water levels within the PSSA as a
component of the HVSCS.
11.3.3 Low Volume Solution Collection System Monitoring
Water levels in the existing LVSCS for AGVLF are monitored at least weekly. Water
levels in the SGVLF LVSCS will be monitored on a weekly basis.
11.3.4 Underdrain Monitoring
The water that may flow from the current underdrain pipes for AGVLF are monitored at
least weekly for flowrate, pH and CN The new underdrains included as part of
SGVLF will be added to this weekly monitoring.
11.3.5 Pregnant Solution Storage Areas
The AGVLF PSSAs are managed and monitored daily to assure appropriate solution
levels. The same monitoring will occur with the SGVLF PSSA.
11.3.6 External Storage Pond Monitoring
As approved under MLE, the ESP leak detection collection and recovery system
( "LDCRS ") will be monitored for water levels at least weekly if process solution is
introduced to the ESP. The impoundment areas of this pond also will be monitored on a
weekly basis for water levels if process solution is introduced to the ESP. Samples will
be periodically collected for analysis of pH and CN concentrations if process solution
is introduced to the ESP. No change to this monitoring is proposed under MLE2.
Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company
Cresson Project Mine Life Extension 2
11 -4
