Sodium cyanide will be used in a dilute solution to pull gold from the carbon during carbon
stripping. Once the gold is removed by electrowinning, the dilute sodium cyanide solution will
be recycled as barren solution. The SGADR will have a contained storage and mixing area for
the preparation of the sodium cyanide leaching solution. As at the AGADR, dry sodium cyanide
briquettes will be delivered by truck to the site in USDOT- approved containers. The container
will be positioned on a concrete bermed unloading area adjacent to the SGADR building within
the SGVLF PSSA lined area and a basic water solution will be pumped through the containers to
dissolve the briquettes. The dissolved solution will be transferred from the containers into
storage tanks that are within the containment area as described above.
Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company
Cresson Project Mine Life Extension 2
8 -7
