After placement of topsoil, all slopes over three foot (3') <br />high shall be cat walked. <br />8.18 SLOPE PROTECTION AND EROSION CONTROL - This work shall consist of installing <br />silt fence and ditch checks for controlling stormwater erosion during construction. A copy of the <br />Industry's Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan will be given to the Engineer before the beginning <br />of construction. <br />8.19 SEEDING - This work shall consist of the preparing and seeding roadbed slopes, disturbed <br />areas and areas designated by the Engineer. Riprap shall be placed in such a manner as to avoid <br />segregation of various sizes of rock and distributed so that there will be no large accumulation of <br />either the larger or smaller sizes of stone. Individual rocks shall be placed in tight contact with one <br />another in such a way as to produce the least amount of void spaces and providing adequate <br />embankment protection and erosion control. The entire mass of riprap shall be well distributed within <br />the limits specified.
