possible. The regulatory agencies must recognize the fact that in these particular areas, <br />the actual permit boundary will not be located where the signs are placed. If, during an <br />inspection the exact location must be determined, Seneca will locate the line in question <br />upon request from the inspector. <br />Buffer Zone Signs. Buffer zones will be posted with signs such as the one shown in Figure <br />26-3. A buffer zone has been established at the east end of the tie across haul road. <br />Topsoil Markers. Stockpiled topsoil areas will be marked with signs reeding "TOPSOIL", <br />and are 8" x 24" in size. An example of this sign is shown in Figure 26-4. Topsoil <br />markers will remain in place until the topsoil materials are removed. <br />Blasting Signs. Two (2) types of signs are used for blasting areas: Signs B" x 24" with <br />2" red, bold letters reading "BLASTING AREA" will be displayed within 50 feet of access <br />and haul roads, and 100 feet of any public road right-of-way and at [he edge of the <br />blasting areas. <br />• A blasting warning sign, 24" x 36" in size, is located et the mine entrance next to the <br />mine identification sign. This sign reads: "BLASTING NARNING SIGNAL three short whistles <br />from an air horn, ALL CLEAR SIGNAL one long whistle".
