February 8, 2012 C- 1981 - 010 /Trapper Mine JLE <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLANCE: <br />D Pit was observed, overall the excavation appears stable, a large drill rigs is located at the north end of the pit and <br />was operating at the time of the inspection. The scarp from the land slump /slide on the south side of the pit was <br />observed and appeared stable. <br />The A Pit was observed, several recent loads have been backfilled into the pit. Overall the operation appears to be <br />in compliance. <br />F pit was observed; they have ceased mining operations in this pit and are in the process of backfilling the pit with <br />spoils from the K pit. <br />The Molly Brown Dragline was excavating in the K -dip pit. The Baby Doe Dragline was located in the K- strike <br />pit. The Queen Anne Dragline was down for repairs located in the Z -Pit. <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3); Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and <br />(6)/4.03.2(5) and (6) Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />The Life of Mine, old BC, D Pit, West Ash, North AE roads were inspected. These roads were graded, watered <br />and maintained. The road side drainage ditches were functioning properly. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br />Material is currently being backfilled into F pit from the K and Z pit operation. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS — Rule 4.02: <br />The mine ID and blasting signs at the main mine entrance were found to be in compliance. <br />TOPSOIL — Rule 4.06, Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; <br />Redistribution 4.06.4: <br />Topsoil stockpile D 1 -07 is located at the north end of the D pit. This stockpile was stable with thick vegetative <br />cover. However the topsoil markers were missing and will need to be replaced. <br />Topsoil stockpile D93 -1 was stable and vegetated. Topsoil boundary markers were in place. <br />Topsoil stockpile E94 -2 was stable and vegetated. Topsoil boundary markers were in place. <br />Topsoil stockpile D97 -1 was stable and vegetated.
