February 22, 2012 C- 1981 - 013 /Golden Eagle Mine JHB <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3) Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) Surfacing and <br />Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6) Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />The access road to the reclaimed pad has been reclaimed. The reclaimed roadway has a southern aspect. <br />Vegetation is sparse on this reclaimed slope, both in the reclaimed area and in adjacent undisturbed land. Rilling <br />is minimal. <br />A portion of the access road serves as access for oil and gas wells and support facilities. This road is gated off of <br />Las Animas County Road No. 233. No problems were identified with the reclaimed roadway. <br />REVEGETATION — Rule 4.15 Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />The reclaimed area exhibits a good stand of grasses with infrequent shrub species, and a few pinyon pine <br />seedlings. The vegetation is currently donnant, with some of the cool season grass crown showing signs of <br />greening up. No problems were identified with the re- established vegetation. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS — Rule 4.02: <br />The mine ID sign is posted at the gate to the west of Las Animas County Road No. 233. All required information <br />is contained on the sign.
