Mr. Liesveld
Page 12
January 7, 2012
5. The Mining Plan Map shows an area that is 0.34 acres in size which is not contiguous with
the rest of the permit area. Please explain what this area will be used for.
6. The Mining Plan Map shows that only a portion of the access road is within the permit
boundary. However, the acreage calculation on the map includes 1.21 acres for the access
road. Please clarify if the access road has been included within the 9.95 permit boundary. If
so, then the permit boundary must be revised to encompass the entire access road. Please
note that if the access road was constructed prior to the issuance of your Reclamation Permit,
then it does not have to be included within the permitted acreage provided that the road has
not been improved.
7. Please describe how the spill area will be utilized as part of this operation.
8. Please submit a labeled Reclamation Plan Map. The Reclamation Plan Map shall include the
following information:
a) Show the gradient of all reclaimed slopes (horizontal:vertical) sufficient to describe the
post mine topography.
b) Depict the entire 9.95 permit area.
c) Give the date the map was prepared
d) Must be prepared and signed by a registered land surveyor, professional engineer, or
other qualified person.
Please remember that the decision date for this application is February 8, 2012. As previously
mentioned, if you are unable to provide satisfactory responses to any inadequacies prior to this
date, it will be your responsibility to request an extension of time to allow for continued
review of this application. If there are still unresolved issues when the decision date arrives and
no extension has been requested, the application will be denied.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (303)866 -3567 x8116.
Sincerely,
Michael A.
