The piezometers will be professionally installed by
a third party contracted by 3B Enterprises. The water will be sampled by us (GLA) and
we will have sole chain of custody of the samples, which will be taken to a lab to be
tested according to the standard suite of parameters for groundwater. Any additional
parameters that DRMS would like to have tested should be sent to me at the address
above.
As for testing the backfilled coal waste, we propose that a 2 " -3" auger by utilized on site
in the area shown on the attached map to identify areas where the highest percentage of
coal waste is found. Once this is done, the two samples of the highest percentage will be
sampled and sent to a laboratory by Greg Lewicki and Associates (with full chain of
custody) where a standard SPLP test will be run on the material. The results of both the 2
water samples from the piezometers and the 2 SPLP tests will be submitted to the
Division with an evaluation of the results performed by us.
