Please be advised that if you are unable to satisfactorily <br />address any concerns identified in this review before the decision date, it will be your <br />responsibility to request an extension of the review period. The Applicant has provided the Division with a cost estimate for closure of the Cross Mine <br />Decline Portal and the Cross Mine Portal. Please provide the Division with the dimensions of <br />the openings of the above referenced portals, so that we may calculate the costs for this type <br />of closure. <br />2. The Applicant has provided the Division with a cost estimate for closure of the ventilation <br />shaft and the secondary escape -way. Please provide the Division with the dimensions of the <br />openings of the above referenced shafts, so that we may calculate the costs for this type of <br />closure. <br />3. The Applicant has requested Ponds #1 and #2 remain on site following reclamation. The <br />Applicant has also asserted mine drainage will not occur following reclamation and has <br />committed to providing plug design specifications and an associated financial warranty in a <br />subsequent revision to the Reclamation Permit. Therefore, the Division must bond for the <br />removal and disposal of the liners in both of the ponds, as well as backfilling, topsoil <br />replacement and seeding costs.
