January 12, 2012 C- 1981 - 010 /Trapper Mine <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLANCE: <br />JLE <br />TMI is not longer pumping impounded water from East A pit except for road maintenance needs. The <br />water level was substantially less during this inspection based on observations from the last two inspections. <br />The Queen Anne dragline appeared to be down for maintenance but was located in Z -dip pit. <br />The Baby Doe was starting to mine in the K -strike pit. <br />The Mollv Brown was mining in the K -dip pit and may be making the first cut into L pit. <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 Construction 4.03.1(3) /4.03.2(3)Drainage 4.03.1(4) /4.03.2(4) Surfacing and <br />Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6)Reclaination 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />Many roads were observed during the inspection, including the old BC Road, the Life of Mine Road, K 1 <br />Road, the North AE Road and the Mid AE Road. All active haul roads were stable and were functioning as <br />permitted at the time of the inspection. Many of the access roads were observed while inspecting the ponds. No <br />problems were observed. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br />Material is currently being backfilled into F pit from the K and Z pit operation. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS — Rule 4.02: <br />The mine ID and blasting signs at the main mine entrance was found to be in compliance. <br />Perimeter markers were observed in several locations: below the Pyeatt ponds, below East Middle Flume ponds, <br />Far East Buzzard and Coyote Ponds. No compliance issues were observed. <br />TOPSOIL — Rule 4.06;Remova14.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; <br />Redistribution 4.06.4: <br />The following topsoil stockpiles were inspected: <br />BUZ92 -1; this pile appeared stable and the corner markers were in place. <br />CGI; the top of this pile has been utilized for reclamation. The remainder of the pile appeared stable and the <br />corners of the pile were marked. <br />MH -2; this pile appeared stable and the corner markers were in place. <br />MH -1; this pile appeared stable and the corner markers were in place. A patch of thistles was noted on this <br />stockpile. According to Mr. Roberts these thistle patches have been sprayed with a herbicide.
