January 12, 2012 C- 1981 - 010 /Trapper Mine <br />embankment appeared stable. <br />JLE <br />Johnson 47; the pond was holding water but was snow and ice covered. The sediment marker was in place but <br />was covered with snow and ice. The spillway was functioning properly. <br />Johnson 48, the embankment appeared stable and vegetated. The pond was holding water but was snow and ice <br />covered. The spillway appeared to be functioning property. <br />Johnson 49, the embankment appeared stable and vegetated. The sediment marker was in place. The pond was <br />holding water and the spillway appeared to be functioning. <br />Impoundment H; this pond was holding water and the spillway appeared to be functioning. The pond slopes were <br />stable and vegetated. <br />West Pyeatt # 1; this pond was holding water. The embankment appeared stable. <br />West Pyeatt 42; the spillway appeared to be functioning. The sediment marker was in place. The embankment <br />was stable. <br />Middle Pyeatt 43; this pond was dry. The sediment marker was in place. A badger hole was noted in the <br />embankment. According to Mr. Roberts, this is a common issue for ponds that are consistently dry and are <br />repaired when needed. <br />Middle Pyeatt 42; this pond was dry. The spillway was in place and stable. The embankment was stable and <br />vegetated. <br />Middle Pyeatt #1; this pond was holding water but was not discharging. The spillway and sediment markers were <br />in place. <br />East Pyeatt 41; this pond had been cleaned out last year. The embankment was stable and vegetated. <br />East Pyeatt 42; this pond was holding water. The embankment was stable and the spillway was in place and <br />functioning. The sediment marker appeared to be in place but was covered with snow and ice. <br />Middle Flume #1; this pond was snow covered. The embankment was stable and vegetated. The spillway and <br />flume were in place and appeared to be functioning properly. <br />East Middle Flume, TMI is no longer pumping water from East A pit into this pond. The pond is holding water <br />and the embankment is stable. The western pond slope has a small gully developing. The gully does not appear to <br />have changed since the last inspection and is not very large.
