Processing of Drain Cover Fill (DCF) continued at the DCF process area using a CAT dozer.

A) Geomembrane Installation
Geomembrane installation for the Phase 5 VLF project is complete. Repairs are made if necessary
during DCF placement.
B) Geomembrane Exposure
No work performed during the week.
CQA ACTIVITIES:
SUMMARY:
An AMEC representative monitored ambient temperatures on an hourly basis during fill
placement. Fill temperatures were monitored during ambient temperatures below 32 ° F and
averaged 35 °F to 37 ° F.
Drain Cover Fill placement for the Phase 5 Valley Leach Facility is complete.

The CQA activities performed consisted of observing, documenting and recording the construction
activities of the contractor.
AMEC observed snow removal within the Phase 5 VLF.
AMEC observed the installation of the high volume solution collection system within the Phase 5 VLF.
AMEC observed, obtained samples, and assisted in the process of DCF material at the DCF Process area.
AMEC observed the DCF placement within the Phase 5 VLF.
Testing Summary
Laboratory testing continued (Particle Size Distribution, Atterberg Limits, Moisture - Density Relations,
Specific Gravity, Permeability, and Point Load testing) for sampled materials.
