I
I
I
1
1
I
I
I
I
1
I
1
1
I
I
I
1
I
1
25
1 GEC is certainly one of those sites
2 where there are minor off -site impacts and there are
3 significant on -site problems. Nobody questions that,
4 but legally we believe we've done everything that we
5 are required to do, and I suspect -- I don't know. I
6 can't speak for these guys, but I have a feeling that
7 we're not going to be in the same oversight battle that
8 we were years ago.
9 MR. CATTANY: I guess all I would say is
10 that whatever action we ultimately agree to that I
11 would like to see some sort of concurrence with OSM.
12 If it's no more action at the site or whatever, that
13 there's concurrence between the state agency and the
14 federal agency so that the owner isn't getting mixed
15 signals.
16 I think the other thing that I would say
17 is that if the allegations are true about the comments
18 of one of our employees about Mr. Adams, those are
19 inappropriate. The department has had a very good
20 relationship with John Adams through the years on a
21 number of issues, and if those statements were made, I
22 feel bad about that because they were inappropriate.
23 MR. JAVERNICK: Won't the resolution of
24 the citizen's complaint bring us to a point where we
25 either are both in agreement and we can move forward
