Accessory facilities, such as a scale house and concrete and asphalt plants, are incorporated into this Mining Plan (see Exhibit C). The reclamation of the property will be done concurrently with mining as mining progresses generally south. For planning purposes, the market for construction materials from the proposed resource is assumed to average roughly 500,000 tons per year. This estimate shall not confine the operator to a small or large market if conditions vary from the current estimated annual demand. Timetable The proposed operation is a relatively short- duration sand and gravel operation, with an approximate timetable as illustrated below. Concurrent reclamation will commence, as currently estimated, by the time 10 acres have been mined, if not sooner. * Subject to market conditions. ** An additional 5.2 acres could be mined if the irrigation ditch is relocated to an off- site or other acceptable location, allowing for gravel recovery under the present - day ditch alignment. Description of Overburden, Deposit and Underlying Stratum The alluvial deposit at the subject site consists of sand and natural gravel, as well as larger unconsolidated stone material. Overburden varies from non - existent to over 8 feet at the most upland (easterly) points on the site. Shale bedrock underlies the aggregate deposit to be mined. Depth of the deposit varies; at its deepest, the excavation will encounter bedrock at approximately 42 feet beneath the land surface.
