Location <br />This Week <br />(tons) <br />Cumulative <br />(tons) <br />Comments <br />DCF Process <br />6,320 <br />546,175 <br />Total <br />6,320 <br />546,175 <br />II) Storm Water Management <br />A) it est Management Practices <br />Best Management Practices are being observed throughout the Phase 5 VLF Project. <br />III) Material Processing <br />A) Drain Cover Fill Process Area <br />Processing of Drain Cover Fill (DCF) continued at the DCF process area using a CAT dozer. <br />IV)VLF Geosynthetics <br />A) Geomembrane Installation <br />1) VLF <br />Geomembrane installation within the Phase 5 VLF resumed performing repair /QC activities. <br />Previous geomembrane installation is shown in Figure 1. All destructive tests performed were <br />within project specifications. Non - destructive testing was performed for fusion welded seams. <br />Repairs were performed using the extrusion welding method for all marked defects. Vacuum <br />testing was performed for all extrusion welded seams and repairs. <br />Geomembrane installation is complete for the Phase 5 VLF. The figure will be removed from <br />this report from this week forward. <br />During the Cresson blasts, an AMEC field representative observed the geomembrane and no <br />damage was noted. <br />B) Geomembrane Exposure <br />1) VLF <br />No work performed during the week. <br />C) Anchor Trench <br />1) VLF <br />Anchor trench backfill was performed between stations A22 +00 ( + / -) and A31 +00 ( + / -), near <br />centerline, using a John Deere 35D excavator, a vibratory plate compactor and laborers. An <br />AMEC field representative observed the backfill and it was found to be constructed in <br />accordance with design drawings and project specifications. <br />Anchor trench excavation and backfill is complete for the Phase 5 VLF. <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 10.29.2011 <br />
