October 20, 2011 C- 1981 - 041 /Roadside Portals MPB
with no significant erosion or other stability problems identified in past inspections. Sediment Pond 47 has now
been fully reclaimed along with two sumps adjacent to the permanent channel and the 18 -inch v -ditch that directed
runoff to Pond 7. These reclaimed areas have been seeded and mulched. However, according to SCC shortly after
placing the mulch some strong winds blew a lot of it away. The mulch is somewhat sparse in the vicinity of Pond
7. SCC should monitor this and if necessary reapply mulch to the Pond 7 location. Photographs of before and
after reclamation are shown for both Ponds 7 and 8 at the end of this inspection report. SCC did a good job of
backfilling the ponds and returning the grade at both locations to the approximate original contour.
DOCUMENTS RECEIVED
None
OTHER (SPECIFY)
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 3
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1
Page 3 of 6
