The permittee will:
• •
• Retain a copy of this SWMP at the construction site from the date of project
initiation until the date of final stabilization.
• Select qualified individuals to conduct site inspections, oversee maintenance and
repair activities, maintain stormwater management and inspection records, and
complete inspection and maintenance reports.
• Minimize the amount of disturbed soil exposed to stormwater at any time.
• Maintain all measures and controls so they are effective in erosion and sediment
control.
• Inspect erosion and sediment controls, disturbed areas of the construction site that
have not been finally stabilized, material storage areas exposed to precipitation,
construction entrances and exits for off -site vehicle tracking, and discharge points,
if any, at least once a week or within 24 hours after a storm event of 0.5 inch or
greater. Where site areas have been finally stabilized or in semi -arid regions (10-
20 inches of average annual rainfall, which includes the Project Area) monthly
inspections must be made.
• Take immediate actions to prevent/correct problems where pollutants (i.e.
sediments) are observed to be passing structural controls and document the
actions taken to rectify the problem.
• Post a list in staging areas and in the office identifying the names and phone
numbers of personnel responsible for responding to authorized pollutant
discharges and spills of toxic or hazardous materials.
8
