Provide the proposed plan for disposal of dewatering effluent. <br />f. provide information pertaining to the existing water rights referred to in this section. <br />6) PROJECT DESCRIPTION, Item III.6.J. The applicant must commit to ceasing work and <br />notifying DRMS immediately if any activity in the underground results in a water discharge to <br />surface of any quantity or quality. <br />7) OPERATIONAL AND RECLAMATION MEASURES, Item IV.4. Rule 5.4 requires drill holes <br />to be plugged and abandoned in a timely manner. Please provide an estimated time frame for <br />plugging and abandonment of drill holes. <br />8) SIGNATURE REQUIREMENT, Item VIII. Mr. John Deagan of Park County stated that no <br />copy of the application had been received by Park County. As required by Rule 5.1.2(m), please <br />submit verification that a copy of the Prospecting NOI was submitted to the Park County Board <br />of Commissioners. <br />9) HARDROCK RULE 3: RECLAMATION PERFORMANCE STANDARDS. In accordance <br />with Rule 3.1.5(5), please indicate how waste rock extracted from the mine will be handled and <br />disposed of to protect the drainage system from pollution. <br />10) FINANCIAL WARRANTY. Hardrock Rule 4.2.1(6) specifies that the Prospector must provide <br />Financial Warranty in the amount of $2,000 per acre of the land to be disturbed, or such other <br />amount as determined by the Office. For this project, the Office has determined that the <br />Financial Warranty shall be $2,000 per acre, for a total of $10,000. This amount must be <br />provided and approved before authorization to commence prospecting will be granted. <br />In accordance with Rule 5.1.3(c) of the Hard Rock Rules, the applicant has 60 days from the date of <br />this notification (which will be 19 December 2011) to address the deficiencies stated in this letter. If <br />the NOI deficiencies are not addressed by that date, the Office may terminate the NOI file.
