•
of numeric protection' levels, practice -based permit or NOI conditions, or
both:
Will be addressed in a subsequent permit revision.
(b) Points of compliance for numeric protection levels shall be set
pursuant to Paragraph 3.1.7 (5):
Will be addressed in a subsequent permit revision.
(3) N /A:
(4) N /A:
(5) Any Operator on a voluntary basis, may submit information concerning the
protection of the quality of groundwater affected by the operation to the Office.
The Operator may submit such information and a plan for monitoring, where
appropriate, including monitoring at points of compliance, for the Office's
consideration:
Will be addressed in a subsequent permit revision.
(6) Points of Compliance:
(a) In order to evaluate protection afforded groundwater quality, comply
with groundwater standards, or to demonstrate compliance with permit or
NOI conditions established by the Office to protect groundwater quality, one
or more points of compliance shall be established:
Will be addressed in a subsequent permit revision.
(7) Groundwater Monitoring:
(a) For existing operations through permit modifications, ... a
groundwater monitoring program shall be required on a case -by -case basis
where an adverse impact on groundwater quality may reasonably be
expected:
This is an existing mining operation. Calais Resources has begun quarterly ground water quality
sampling and is preparing to begin a surface water sampling program. We have been in
discussion with the DRMS as to the list of parameters to sample and sample point locations.
This program will be submitted to the DRMS under a separate permit revisions.
Based on this proposed amendment, we believe the proposed revisions will result in no changes
to the existing surface and ground water quality.
Page 46
