equipment. Parts and supplies that cannot be stored under the weather will be stored in the
warehouse or in conex containers.
6) vehicle and equipment maintenance and fueling;
RESPONSE: Maintenance of mining and ancillary equipment will be conducted on site. A
maintenance shop will be constructed with a concrete pad that will be designed with edges to
contain any spills of petroleum products that may occur. In addition, the shop will contain sumps
to contain any spills. Refer to the SPCC plan for the site. The final SPCC plan will be updated to
reflect the final construction on the site.
A fuel farm will be located on site. The fuel farm will contain petroleum product storage. The
containment of the total volume of the petroleum tanks will be as described in the SPCC plan and
will meet all state and federal regulations as described in the SPCC plan (40 CFR Part 112).
In all cases, care will be taken to avoid any spills of oil, grease, solvents, and /or fuel. If a spill of
such materials occurs, the spill will be cleaned immediately, and any resulting waste will be
transferred off site in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations. The contract
driller(s) will maintain a SPCC plan and spill kits on site for use in case of a spill.
7) significant dust or particulate generating processes;
RESPONSE: No significant dust or particulate generating processes will occur at the Bulldog
Underground Exploration Project. There will be no processing facilities such as crushers,
conveyor belts or other milling equipment. There will be no bulk sampling operations conducted
at the site. Dust from road use will be minimized to the extent reasonable by minimizing RGS and
contractor vehicular speed and placing a gravel surface on the roads, and with dust abatement
measures such as watering dusty areas.
8) routine maintenance activities involving fertilizers, pesticides, detergents, fuels, solvents,
oils, etc.,
RESPONSE: Routine minor maintenance on the mining equipment will occur within the project
area; however, such maintenance is expected to occur at the maintenance shop. No fertilizers or
pesticides will be used as part of operations — some fertilizer will be used for reclamation. Care
will be taken during routine maintenance to avoid any spills of oil, grease, or solvents. If a spill of
such materials occurs, the spill will be cleaned immediately, and any resulting waste will be
transferred off site in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations. The prime
contractor will maintain a final SPCC plan and spill kits on site for use in case of a spill.
9) on -site waste management practices (waste piles, liquid wastes, dumpsters, etc.);
RESPONSE: As part of operations and reclamation, project - generated trash will be cleaned up
and placed in dumpsters located on site. Periodically, these waste containers will be hauled to
the Mineral County Landfill.
The facility will be hooked up to the Town of Creede sewer system. All sewage wastes will be
treated by Creede's sewage treatment plant.
10) concrete truck/equipment washing, including the concrete truck chute and associated
fixtures and equipment;
RESPONSE: Not applicable.
