Response to Adequacy Issue No. 2, August 19, 2011 Cazier Memorandum, as follows:
• Submit revised design plans for portal stabilization, showing the location of
the point of contact of the unconsolidated material and bedrock, and
including repair drawings and specifications, as necessary, through the
Technical Revision or Amendment process;
Adequacy Issue No. 2.
The applicant has committed to resolving this adequacy issue. However, they have not
committed to addressing this adequacy issue in a TR or AM. Please provide a written
commitment to resolve this adequacy issue via the TR or AM process. The revised text
and five bulleted responses to this adequacy issue presented in the subject response letter
shall be included in the revised Geotechnical Stability Exhibit.
Response to Adequacy Issue No. 2.
Wildcat committed in the fourth and fifth bullets to its Response to Adequacy
Issue No. 2, August 19, 2011 Cazier Memorandum, to address this adequacy issue in a
Technical Revision or Amendment. See Response to Adequacy Issue No. 2, August 19,
2011 Cazier Memorandum.
Wildcat will also add the text beginning with the second full paragraph of Page 4
of Attachment D -2 through the end of the "Calculations" section at Page 5 of
Attachment D -2, as modified by its Response to Adequacy Issue No. 2, August 19, 2011
Cazier Memorandum, into the text at Page 3 of Exhibit 6.5, after the second full
paragraph in the, "May Day No. 1 Portal collapse and head scarp stabilization" section.
Immediately following this addition, Wildcat will add a sentence stating: "Wildcat
incorporates by reference herein the remainder of Attachment D -2."
Adequacy Issue No. 3.
The response to this issue is considered adequate.
Response to Adequacy Issue No. 3.
No response to Adequacy Issue No. 3 is required.
Adequacy Issue No. 4.
This response is inadequate. DRMS has previously reviewed the May 29, 2010 report
and found it to be inadequate.
