This review is a preliminary adequacy review. The Division will review operator responses, data, and
information for technical merit and completeness. No decision will be made until the application meets
the requirements of the Act and Rules. The applicant is responsible for placing this and all other review
documents at the County Clerk Office in Nucla for public review. However, no further public comments
may be accepted.
Please note the current decision date for this amendment is November 7, 2011. Based on the additional
information required it appears that additional time will be required to gather, submit, and review prior
to a decision. Staff is recommending that Cotter submit an extension request that gives ample time to
address these issues.
If you need additional information please contact me at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety,
Grand Junction Field Office, 101 S. 3rd St., Suite 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, or by telephone
no. 970.241.1117.
(19)All maps need to clearly show the permit boundaries and affected area boundaries. Claim and
DOE Lease boundaries are good for reference and in some cases coincide with permit
boundaries but do not pertain to the reclamation permit and EPP issued by the Division.
G.
