The Edna Mine is a reclaimed surface <br />mine. There are no mine personnel remaining on the mine site. The weather was clear and dry. Vegetation has <br />begun to dry up for the fall but many species remain green. As inspector was preparing to unlock the north gate, a <br />pickup truck came down from the mine. The passenger identified herself as Ann Forester. She and her husband <br />Marty Forester are hunting leaseholders on the site. She confirmed that there were no hunters currently on the site. <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS — Rule 5.02.4(1): <br />Records were checked in the Routt County courthouse, Clerk and Recorder's office on Monday, <br />September 19th. Due to the lateness of the afternoon, 4:30 pm, the inspector did not go back to the mine site the <br />same day, but resumed the inspection at the mine site on Thursday, September 22nd. <br />FISH and WILDLIFE — Rule 4.18: <br />The llamas previously observed at the south end of the permit area, West Ridge, were encountered again. <br />This time the two adult llamas had a cria (juvenile llama) with them. <br />A flock of ducks was observed on the Moffat pond. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.053; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br />4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; <br />Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; <br />Roadside ditches throughout the mine site remain in good condition.
