Below the westernmost road culvert at the East Mine, a remnant of a culvert was found, partially buried, <br />which could pose a safety hazard <br />REVEGETATION — Rule 4.15 Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />As mentioned previously under "Reclamation Success ", there was a moderate to good vegetative cover at <br />the reclaimed East Mine yard area and West Mine silo area. However, there was a lot of knapweed and scattered <br />occurrences of thistle at the East Mine yard area. After reclamation activities were finished, the Division gave the <br />remaining reclamation funds to Gunnison County for weed control. <br />The vegetative cover at the East Mine portal area was poor. However, there was a moderate vegetative cover at the <br />West Mine bleeder entries area and portal area. <br />SLIDES and DAMAGE - Rule 4.12: <br />The small mud slump at the East Mine portal area continues to flow slowly towards the county road to the <br />south. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS — Rule 4.02: <br />The stream buffer zone signs were up along the river at the West Mine silo area.
