Most of the disturbed area had a moderate to good <br />vegetative cover. <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS — Rule 5.02.4(1): <br />Since this is a revoked mine site, there are no mine records to be inspected. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.053; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br />4.05.6, Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10, Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water <br />Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; <br />Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />The sediment pond at the West Mine silo area was dry. The pond embankment was well grassed and <br />appeared to be stable. The inlet of the westernmost of the two road culverts at the East Mine was blocked by the <br />small slump next to it. The other culvert was open. The rock lined ditches down gradient of the two road culverts <br />were in place. The riverside berm was in place next to the river. <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3) Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) Surfacing and <br />Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6) Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />The county road leading to the mine site was in good condition. The small mud slump at the East Mine <br />was right at the road's edge. Access to the dirt road that crosses the railroad tracks and leads to the West Mine silo <br />area was made steeper by the repair of the county road. The repair was made due to a slide. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br />The reclaimed portal areas for the East Mine and West Mine that are located north of the county road had <br />a poor to moderate vegetative cover. The small mud slump in the area of the reclaimed East Mine portals <br />continues to move slowly towards the county road.
