We have the following
comments and questions on the application, following the numbering of our August 30, 2011
adequacy review letter.
1. Resolved.
2. Resolved.
STATE OF COLORADO
COLORADO
D I V I S I O N O F
RECLAMATION
MINING
— &—
SAFETY
John W. Hickenlooper
Governor
Mike King
Executive Director
Loretta E. Piiieda
Director
3. SCC revised the text as requested, but a few inconsistencies remain.
a. Table 1 on Page 5 of the bond release application narrative shows that the Total All Hit
Allowable Herbaceous Cover of the Phase II Bond Release Block was 43.2 percent. The
paragraph immediately following the table says it is 42.97 percent. Table 3 on page 6
gives a value of 45.02 percent. Please revise the pages so that the tables and narrative are
consistent. Please note the data will be revised with the removal of the three landslide
area transects; the tables and text should be updated based on the final data from the
remaining 26 transects.
b. In Table 1 on page 5 of the bond release application and on Page 13 of Attachment E,
under the Sagebrush Extended Reference Area, mean allowable cover is listed as 35.8
percent. The narrative on page 10 of Attachment E lists it as 36.3 percent. Please revise
the text to be consistent with the data.
Office of
Mined Land Reclamation
Office of
Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
