The original plan was
approved on May 16, 2002, and no water was exposed prior to January 1, 1981. A $257
renewal fee has been received under receipt no. 3644822 for the 2010 plan year (May 1,
2010 — April 30, 2011), with an additional $257 renewal fee received under receipt no.
3647542 for the 2011 plan year (May 1, 2011 — April 30, 2012). The July 19, 2011
amendment request accounting for additional area of exposed ground water has been
accounted for in this approval.
This plan is to provide replacement water for depletions caused by the Line
Camp Pit. Well Permit No. 57737 -F was approved pursuant to this SWSP on June 26,
2002 for the exposure of ground water in a gravel pit, water consumed in the mined
product, and dust control. The amounts of water consumed by those uses are provided
in the attached Table 2.
In accordance with the letter dated April 30, 2010 from the Colorado Division of
Reclamation, Mining, and Safety ( "DRMS "), all sand and gravel mining operators must
comply with the requirements of the Colorado Reclamation Act and the Mineral Rules
and Regulations for the protection of water resources. The April 30, 2010 letter from
DRMS requires that you provide information to DRMS to demonstrate you can replace
long term injurious stream depletions that result from mining related exposure of ground
water. Accordingly, this operation possesses a corporate surety bond in the amount of
$91,917, of which a portion of is available in the unlikely event that the mining operation
abandons the Line Camp Pit mining site.
Office of the to Engineer
1313 Sherman Street, Suite 818 • Denver, CO 80203 • Phone: 303 -866 -3581 • Fax: 303 - 866 -3589
http: / /water.state.co.us
John W.
