Days <br />S <br />M <br />T <br />W <br />T <br />F <br />S <br />Work Shifts <br />- <br />D <br />D <br />D <br />D <br />D <br />D <br />D = Day Shift N = Night Shift <br />VLF EARTHWORKS FIELD MONITORING SUMMARY (WEEKLY REPORT) <br />Project Title: CC &V/ Phase 5 <br />Owner: Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Co. <br />Location: Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine <br />Work Element: Phase 5 CQA/ VLF <br />Date: August 20, 2011 <br />Reporting Period: 8/14/11 through 8/20/11 <br />Ambient Temperature Range (F): Low: 51°F to 57 °F ( + / -) High: 72 °F to 82 °F ( + / -) <br />AMEC CQA: Personnel On -site through the Reporting Period (See Attachment A). <br />AMES/Lonestar: None. <br />CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES and PROGRESS: <br />ame0 <br />I) EARTHWORKS <br />A) Subgrade Preparation <br />1) VLF <br />Subgrade shown on Figure 1 was inspected and accepted by an AMEC field representative for <br />soil liner fill placement. <br />B) Slope Contouring <br />1) VLF <br />No work performed during the week. <br />Project No.: 84201125E0 <br />Contractor: Ames Construction Co., Inc. <br />Shift: Day <br />C) Soil Liner Fill <br />1) VLF <br />Soil liner fill (SLF) placement continued in the areas shown on Figure 2A and Figure 2B. <br />Subgrade was approved and moisture conditioned prior to placement using a tandem -axle <br />water truck. Placement was performed using various CAT dozers and one skid steer loader in a <br />one -foot compacted lift. Moisture conditioning of SLF material was performed in place using a <br />tandem -axle water truck and compaction was achieved using a 10 -ton vibratory smooth drum <br />compactor. Nuclear density testing, moisture verification, and depth check testing was <br />performed with results within project specifications. Test locations were surveyed by Ames. <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 08.20.2011 <br />
