Each repair shall be non - destructively tested, except when Design
Engineer requires a destructive seam sample be obtained from a repaired
seam. Repairs that pass the destructive test shall be taken as an
indication of an adequate repair. Failed tests indicate that the repair shall
be repeated and retested until passing test results are achieved.
Recording the results: Daily documentation of all non - destructive and
destructive testing shall be provided to Project Manager by CQA Monitor.
This documentation shall identify all seams that initially failed the test and
include evidence that these seams were repaired and successfully
retested.
3.12 CONFORMANCE TESTING
A. During manufacturing of the geosynthetic, CQA Monitor will facilitate the
collection of samples to the QA Testing Laboratory for testing to ensure
conformance with the Specifications.
B. Samples will be taken across the entire width of the roll and shall not
include the first 3 ft. Unless otherwise stated, samples will be 3 ft long by
the width of the roll. CQA Monitor will mark the machine direction on the
samples with an arrow. Unless otherwise stated, samples shall be taken
at a frequency of no less than one per 400,000 square ft. As a minimum,
the following tests will be performed to verify conformance to the design
Specifications with minimum values specified in Section 02776,
Article 2.01:
Rio Grande Silver Tailings Evaporation Pond 02620 -24 Geosynthetic Liner
August2011 02620
