The Contractor shall assist the Owner or his liner testing consultant as <br />requested during the performance of quality control testing. <br />1.7 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING <br />A. Packing and Shipping <br />1. Labels on each roll delivered to site shall identify the following. <br />a. Manufacturer's name <br />b. Product Identification <br />c. Thickness <br />d. Roll number <br />e. Batch or lot number <br />f. Panel number (when applicable) <br />g. Roll dimensions <br />2. Contractor shall ensure that geosynthetic rolls are properly loaded <br />and secured to prevent damage during transit. <br />3. Contractor shall protect geosynthetic from excessive heat, cold, <br />puncture, cutting, or other damaging or deleterious conditions. <br />4. Contractor shall ensure personnel responsible for loading, <br />transport, and unloading of geosynthetic are fully aware of the <br />consequences of damage to geosynthetic, and are familiar with <br />handling and transport constraints imposed by Manufacturer. <br />5. Geosynthetic delivered to the project shall be protected by a <br />relatively impermeable and opaque protective cover, with individual <br />straps for unloading. <br />B. Acceptance at Site <br />1. CQA Monitor shall perform inventory and surface inspection for <br />defects and damage of all geosynthetic rolls upon delivery. <br />2. Contractor shall unroll and inspect any geosynthetic roll that may be <br />damaged below surface. <br />3. Contractor shall repair damage resulting from handling and <br />transport of geosynthetics at no additional cost to Rio Grande <br />Silver.
