PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.1 GENERAL <br />A. The work generally includes: <br />1.4 REFERENCE SPECIFICATIONS <br />SECTION 01110 <br />SUMMARY OF WORK <br />1. Mobilization /de- mobilization. <br />2. Preparing borrow sources including stripping topsoil and stockpiling as <br />needed. <br />3. Stripping and stockpiling of topsoil within liner footprint and preparation <br />of subbase for liner installation. <br />4. Construction of new pond berms within the existing tailings <br />impoundment to the lines and grades as indicated on the Drawings. <br />5. Placement of new 80 mil HDPE liner system in the pond to the lines <br />and grades as indicated on the Drawings (including keying of liner on <br />berms). <br />6. Construction of water truck pads and installation of new 6 -inch HDPE <br />delivery pipes and associated valves and fittings. <br />7. Re- vegetation and reclamation of all disturbed areas. <br />1.2 LOCATION AND INSPECTION OF THE SITE <br />A. The site of the work is located at the existing Rio Grande Silver tailings <br />impoundment (Tailings Pond 2). The site is located approximately 1 mile <br />northwest of Creede, Colorado. <br />1.3 APPLICABLE CODES, STANDARDS, AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />A. Comply with codes and standards applicable to each type of work and as <br />listed in individual sections. <br />B. Where a conflict occurs between referenced documents and the Project <br />Specifications, the Project Specifications govern. <br />C. Where a conflict occurs between different referenced documents, the <br />document containing the more stringent requirements governs. <br />D. Where referenced documents are not specified by date, the applicable <br />version of the document shall be the version current as of the date <br />established for receipt. <br />A.
