4.2 PAYMENT <br />Engineer. <br />7. Tests will not be the sole basis for determination of whether the fill <br />meets the specification requirements. <br />8. The final acceptance or rejection of the fill will be based on the <br />Design Engineer's opinion considering test results and the general <br />disposition of the fill. <br />9. If the fill is rejected, remove and replace rejected material at no <br />cost to the Owner. <br />3.7 TOLERANCES <br />A. Limits of excavation, berm fill placement, and anchor trench fill are <br />defined by the lines and elevations shown on the Drawings. All fill shall <br />be placed to the minimum thicknesses shown on the Drawings. <br />B. Finished grades shown on the Drawings are given in feet and shall slope <br />uniformly between given spot and contour elevations, without sag or <br />humps. All grades shall provide for natural runoff. <br />C. All grades will be ±0.2 feet, unless approved otherwise by Design <br />Engineer and Project Manager. <br />PART 4 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br />4.1 MEASUREMENT <br />A. Excavation of borrow areas and anchor trench fill will not be measured for <br />payment. <br />B. Subbase preparation will be measured for payment per square yard <br />installed. <br />C. Berm fill will be measured for payment per cubic yard placed. <br />D. Aggregate base course will be measured for payment per cubic yard <br />placed. <br />A.
