1.6 QA TESTING <br />in -place products meet or exceed minimum specification limits and <br />performance standards. <br />A. Third party independent testing of in -place products, materials, and <br />constructed facilities to check that in -place products, materials and <br />constructed facilities meet minimum Specifications. <br />1.7 TESTING STANDARDS <br />A. All QA/QC testing shall conform to specified standard test procedures. <br />PART 2- PRODUCTS <br />Not applicable. <br />PART 3 — EXECUTION <br />3.1 GENERAL <br />A. The Contractor is responsible for the QC, QC personnel, and their <br />documentation. The Contractor shall develop a QC plan to implement <br />and meet the intent of QC as presented in the Specifications. Submittal <br />data required for materials and products are considered part of the <br />Contractor's QC. Specific requirements for the Contractor's geosynthetic <br />liner QC program are provided in Section 02620: Geosynthetic Liner, and <br />shall be adhered to in the strictest manner. <br />B. The Owner is responsible for all QA/QC and will establish and maintain <br />an effective QA program. The QC system shall consist of plans, <br />procedures, and organization necessary to produce an end product that <br />complies with the Contract requirements. The system shall cover all <br />construction operations, both on site and off site. QA testing shall comply <br />with all pertinent codes; regulations, and standards referenced in the <br />Drawings and Technical Specifications. <br />B. The Contractor shall provide representatives of Rio Grande Silver access <br />to the Work at all times and at all locations as necessary to conduct QA <br />observations and testing. <br />3.2 LINES OF COMMUNICATION <br />A. The CQA Monitor shall be capable of direct communication with the <br />Project Manager, Design Engineer, Design Engineer and Contractor at all <br />times. Deficiencies that can be easily remedied, such as unsatisfactory <br />test results, will be dealt with directly between the CQA Monitor, Installer, <br />and /or Contractor(s) once a protocol is established with the Project <br />Manager and all parties agree to this approach. <br />Rio Grande Silver Tailings Evaporation Pond <br />August 2011 <br />01450 -4 Quality Assurance /Quality Control <br />01450 <br />
