The purpose of the inspection was to evaluate the on- the -ground
condition with respect to Trapper Mine's SL -12 application, which is a Phase II bond release application. The
application includes five parcels: F- AB -05, F- AB -06, Z- AB -05, Z- AB -06, and A -C -05. These parcels were
evaluated for vegetative cover, species composition, weeds, erosion, and (as necessary) topsoil thickness.
The following people also participated in the inspection: Graham Roberts of TMI, Elizabeth Shaeffer of OSM,
Jennifer Maiolo of the BLM office in Craig, and Lane Osborn from the Colorado State Board of Land
Commissioners.
The weather was warm and clear. The ground was clear and dry.
RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3:
For all parcels, the vegetative cover was consistent with the vegetation sampling results reported in the SL -12
application (average of 67 percent cover), and species composition was generally consistent with the species
reported in the SL -12 application, with relatively large quantities of wheatgrasses, Mountain Brome, and Great
Basin Wildrye, as well as some forbs and shrubs. Additional information for each parcel is presented below.
Parcels F -AB -05 and F -AB -06
A large bare area is near the north end of F- AB -05. Using a GPS data collector, this area was estimated to be 0.7
acres in area.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 2
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1
Page 2 of
7
