Colowyo, 01981 -019, PR3 adequacy No. 3 13 July 22, 2011
be taken to avoid concentration of mnoff flows from the areas with Small Area Exemptions, as
concentration of flow will cause a grass filter to malfunction.
Rule 4.05.3 Diversions and Conveyances of Less than One Square Mile
1. The drainage areas for Tributary 3 and Upper Badger Draw (upper end above Deer Draw,
Section 30+00) appear to be incomplete on Map 41 B. Please review and produce a revised
Map 41 B with complete drainage areas.
The response is inadequate. The drainage area for Tributary 3 still appears to be incomplete on
Map 41 B. Please revise Map 41B or provide turthcr discussion on this basin and its relation to
haul road drainage.
CCC's response is adequate.
Rule 4.05.4 Stream Channel Diversions /Relocations
1. More information is required for channel LCW, which is proposed as a vegetated channel in the
SEDCAD run. How will vegetation be established? What other means will be used to prevent
erosion per Rule 4.05.4(2)(a)? Also, see Rule 4.05.7 below.
The response renmins inadequate.
This item has been resolved with the August 9, 2011 submittal.
Rule 4.05.6 Sedimentation Ponds
6. The Structure Networking table indicates which areas drain to which channels for a few of the
channels (for example Structure 6 is fed by Area A -35), but not for most channels. Please
provide this information for all channels.
The response is inadequate. The information in the submittal shows connections bchecen
channels but provides eery little information on which sub - watersheds drain to which channels,
which is rahat was requested.
The response is inadequate. While Table 1 is very useful, it contains some minor errors that
should be corrected. For Structure 3, the area is mislabeled as A38a rather than A38; for
Structure 30, Area A27a has an incorrect CN value; for Structure 21, the area is mislabeled as
AS 17 rather than A17; and for Structure 11, the Name is mislabeled as RD2 rather than RDL
Also, the table facilitated a more detailed review of the SEDCAD model, and a possible error
was detected; it appears that the areas and curve numbers for Structure 10 (the Collom Sump)
may not be correct Area A6 appears to be much larger on the map (Figure Al in Exhibit 7,
