Monthly water level measurements have been collected in these wells since January
2002 and the water levels have not been affected by Phase I or Phase II mining, as shown in the
hydrograph presented in Figure G-4. TMOP will continue to monitor water levels in these wells
during Phase 7 mining. In addition, TMOP is installing four monitoring wells outside the Phase 7
mining area, three of which are replacing existing wells. TMOP will measure water levels in
these wells and will coordinate with well owners in areas that may be affected by Phase 7
mining. Water level data will continue to be tracked in a monitoring well database to identify
water level changes resulting from the Phase 7 mining area, which will function as an early
warning system if detrimental water level changes occur and will allow TMOP to implement
solutions to isolated water level changes and resulting impacts to wells that may occur near the
Phase 7 area.
(d) Projected Water Requirements
The water use requirements for the mining operation are divided into two categories: physical
demand for process water and depletion to the stream system. As described in Exhibit 4, the
Phase 7 gravel pit will be dewatered during the mining process at a rate of approximately 4,100
gallons per minute (gpm) and 6,600 acre -feet per year (af/yr). Some of the water that is pumped
out of the pit will be used to process the gravel and the rest will return directly to the Arkansas
River. The process water will be used primarily for washing and dust control and will amount to
5
Permitted stock water use.
Domestic Use.
Permitted stock water use; well not
located in field.
Permitted other use; well not located
in field.
Permitted irrigation; well not located
in field.
Permitted domestic use; well not
located in field.
Permitted as other use; well not
located in field.
Permitted as other use; well not
located in field.
Permitted as other use; well not
located in field.
