Annual Inspection <br />The Project will be inspected ann ually by a team of officials and/or contractors from the <br />University of Colorado at Boulder, UDD, and the CWCB. The field inspection shall be <br />conducted prior to the end of the first week of April, prior to the flood season. <br />The University of Colorado at Boulder is responsible for operation and maintenance of the <br />proeet, pursuant to State Regulations, the state o Colorado will monitor the <br />implementation of the provisions of this Operations and Maintenance Manual. The CWCB <br />will act as the State of Colorado representative. The C WCB shall have access at all tines to <br />all portions of the Project. <br />The University's appointed Flood Superintendent shall furnish an Annual Inspection and <br />Maintenance RepordChecklist to the CWCB, Denver, Colorado prior to the b fining of <br />the flood season. In addition to the annual inspections, additional <br />inspections shall be made immediately following each major high water period or flood <br />event; and at such other times as may be necessary to provide for the serviceability of the <br />Project. <br />FART H - OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE <br />4.0 OPERATION PLANS AND CRITERIA <br />Upon receipt of notice from the Boulder County Emergency Preparedness Office that <br />potential flood conditions exist, the Flood Superintendent shall be required to initiate <br />flood operations plan which shall involve implementing the requirements of sections 4.1 <br />and 4.2. <br />4.1 fee <br />During flood periods following notice from the Boulder County Emergency Preparedness <br />Office, the Flood Superintendent or its representative shall inspect the levee to locate <br />possible sand boils or unusual wetness on the landward slope and to be certain that: <br />4.1.1 There are no indications of slides or sloughs developing, <br />4.1.2 Erosion or scouring action is not occurring. <br />4.1.3 No love reaches of the levee exist which may be overtopped. <br />(D075757 DM111 <br />
