REVEGETATION — Rule 4.15 ❑ ❑Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />The operator will be reseeding the upper backfilled slopes at the East Mine after the slopes are roughened <br />up. The vegetative cover at the reclaimed West Mine was moderate to good. The vegetative cover at the reclaimed <br />run -of -mine coal stockpile area was good. The vegetation on the cut slopes at the partially reclaimed temporary <br />highway coal stockpile was moderate to good. <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br />Drilling equipment and supplies were being stored at the central portion of the partially reclaimed unit <br />train loadout. There were no problems with the substation, shop building and stored equipment. A mine safety <br />training course was set up on the concrete pad of the former silo area. The train loadout bench outslope was stable <br />and well vegetated. There were no issues with the pump house at the well field. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS — Rule 4.02: <br />A mine identification sign was up on each of the three entrances to the partially reclaimed unit train <br />loadout. Mine id signs were also up at the entrances to the East Mine, West Mine, partially reclaimed temporary <br />highway coal stockpile area, reclaimed run -of -mine coal stockpile area and the well field. Additional mine id signs <br />were up along Steven's Gulch road. Surface disturbance markers were also up around the disturbed areas. The two <br />subsidence warning signs were up along Steven's Gulch road, near the well field. <br />TOPSOIL — Rule 4.060 ❑Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; <br />Redistribution 4.06.4: <br />The small topsoil stockpile on the west end of the loadout had a good vegetative cover and the topsoil sign <br />was up on the stockpile. The very small topsoil stockpile near bin wall pond no. 3 had no erosional problems and <br />the topsoil sign was up.
