July 28, 2011 C- 1991- 078/1 Mine MLT <br />(Davis at the time, now Andrews) has requested that the road be left as a permanent feature. <br />A copy of the Davis' September 1993 letter, from Exhibit 8 of the permit, is attached to this <br />inspection report. <br />• Rule 4.03.1(6) speaks to the Maintenance required for haul roads. Please evaluate the <br />condition of the haul road to Mining Area No. 3, and conduct any maintenance activities <br />that may be warranted These activities may include, but not be limited to, grading the <br />surface to restore a crown and providing gravel surfacing where necessary. <br />REVEGETATION — Rule 4.15 <br />Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />+ Grasses appear to be flourishing in Mining Area No. 1, assisted by the recent monsoon rains <br />that have fallen in the area. <br />• Fourwing saltbush in reclaimed Mining Area No. 1 continues to appear less vigorous than <br />what has been noted in previous years. <br />• Vegetative cover in the reclaimed Sedimentation Pond A, seeded and mulched in late 2010, <br />continues to be dominated by Russian thistle, with occasional sprigs of Winterfat. <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 1 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 0 Page 3 of 6 <br />
