Water Information
Exhibit G
characterized. Wildcat will use an approved laboratory with
written QA/QC procedures. In addition Wildcat will submit duplicate and
blank samples twice a year.
6.4.7(3) Projected Water Requirements
The water balance for the mining and milling is presented in Exhibit G, Table G -1 where
water consumption uses include:
• Mining /milling process water;
• Dust control; and
• Augmentation pond evaporative losses (if built).
Mining and Milling: The project requirement for milling is estimated to be approximately
1 ton of water for every ton of ore milled. This equates to approximately 7 acre feet per
year (Table G -1). This represents an average daily use of 6.3 gpm on a 250 work day
year. We estimate approximately 75% will be recovered through recycling. The fate of
the remainder will be encapsulation during dry tailings disposal activities or used to
control underground fugitive dust emissions as summarized in Exhibit D.
Dust Control: The estimated volume of water included the consideration of a road length
of fourteen thousand one hundred feet (14,100 feet). This equates to an average of
approximately 5.27 gpm based on 250 days. The total annual volume of water estimated
for dust control is approximately 5.83 acre feet per year (Table G -1).
Augmentation Pond: The estimated annual evaporative loss would be 0.6 acre feet per
year (Table G -1).
No irrigation for reclamation activities is planned and no domestic consumptive use is
assumed.
The total annual consumptive use is estimated to be 15.26 acre feet (approximately 13.8
gpm on a 250 day basis).
6.4.7(4) Projected Water Sources
Wildcat has two water rights as documented in Exhibit G, Attachment G -6 (Fairview
Land Corporation and Wildcat Mining Corporation). The 1904 senior water right,
acquired through the lease with Fairfield Land Company (Attachment G -1, Case No.
80CW133), allocates groundwater at a consumptive use rate of 40 gallons per minute
(gpm) for the purposes of mining, milling and industrial activities from the May Day
Mine. The second water right was filed on November 30, 2006 (Case No. 06CW91) and
authorizes the conditional use of 1 cfs (capped at 12 acre feet per year) for mining,
Wildcat Mining Corporation
May Day Idaho Mine Complex — 112d Permit Application
Revised August, 2011
Exhibit G — Rule 6.4.7
