Past records show that the annual date <br />for the pit is August 3 of each year. The financial warranty for the permit was increased <br />this year to $99,000 and the total permit area is 183.6 acres. Eagle County has permitted <br />the full operation so now the DRMS permit exactly coincides with the Eagle County <br />Special Use permit. The former operation area was limited to 31.3 acres as shown on the <br />enclosed map. The mining and reclamation plan is phased. <br />The following information is provided to comply with Rule 2.4.1: <br />(1) Mining did take place this year. The material produced and stockpiled over the <br />course of a few months for supplying the market and other B &B operations with <br />material through out the year. The wash plant and primary crusher stay on site <br />year round but mobile crushing and screening operation is only on site for a few <br />months per year. No new topsoil stripping occurred in 2011 because no new <br />disturbances happened. The total current disturbance is now 31.3 acres. The <br />excavated pit and some stockpiles do exist on site. All topsoil and overburden has <br />been stripped and placed in berms around the pit as planned in the permit. In <br />addition, the existing disturbance consists of the access road, sediment sump, <br />wash ponds, a truck scale and scale house /office trailer has been set up as shown <br />on the enclosed Annual Report Map. A portable crusher /screen plant with a <br />10,000 gallon diesel tank is brought to the site for processing A few months per <br />year.
