(GCC) has submitted an application to amend the Regular 112 Operation Permit <br />for its Pueblo Cement Plant and Limestone Quarry to the Division of Mining, Reclamation and Safety <br />DRMS). This amendment modifies the Reclamation Plan (Exhibit E) and Reclamation Costs (Exhibit L) <br />based on a recent clarification of the Pueblo County Special Use Permit for this facility. Additionally, this <br />amendment updates the cement plant site plan and transmits copies of as -built drawings. A copy of the <br />application amendment is enclosed for your records. <br />On July 7, 2011 DRMS accepted the application as complete and initiated a public comment and review <br />period. GCC published a notice of the pending application in the Pueblo Cheiftain on July 12, 2011. A <br />copy of the notice also is enclosed. The notice will be published once per week for the next three weeks. <br />The public comment period ends 20 days after the last publication date (August 24 <br />The application and public notice information are being sent to the State Land Board as owners of surface <br />and mineral rights within the permit boundary. <br />Please contact me if you have any questions about this permit application.
