ame0
C) Geomembrane Acceptance
1) VLF
Secondary 100mil geomembrane (S -632 thru S -637, S -753, and S -816 thru S -861) shown on
Figure 4 was inspected by AMEC and Lonestar representatives, found to be installed within
project specifications and acceptable for continued construction activities. This is the final
secondary geomembrane acceptance.
D) Geomembrane Delivery
1) VLF
Three loads (33 rolls) of 80mil LLDPE single sided textured geomembrane rolls were
delivered to site during the shift. The load was delivered on a flat bed truck in good condition.
The rolls were unloaded using a CAT 950 front -end loader with forks attached. The
geomembrane was placed on three pieces of HDPE pipe, stacked two rolls high. An AMEC
field representative inventoried the geomembrane and was present at all times during
unloading of the geomembrane.
CQA ACTIVITIES:
SUMMARY:
The CQA activities performed consisted of observing, documenting and recording the construction
• activities of the contractor.
AMEC observed structural fill placement within the Phase 5 VLF fill area.
AMEC inspected and approved subgrade prior to geomembrane deployment.
AMEC observed, logged data, and assisted in the installation of geomembrane within the Phase 5 VLF.
AMEC observed and inspected anchor trench backfill.
AMEC observed the installation of the low volume solution collection system, including the risers.
AMEC observed the LVSCF placement constantly.
AMEC obtained samples of LVSCF placement.
AMEC inspected and approved secondary geomembrane for further construction activities.
AMEC observed and inventoried geomembrane delivered to site.
Testing Summary
Laboratory testing continued (Particle Size Distribution, Atterberg Limits, Moisture - Density Relations,
Specific Gravity, Permeability, and Point Load testing) for sampled materials.
VLF Weekly Report WE 09.11.10.D
