of the Manganese 30 -day effluent limit in January 2010. Exceedance of the Manganese standard was a <br />one -time incidence, with no indication of a chronic water quality or hydrologic balance problem. No <br />concerns were identified with regard to groundwater or surface water hydrology at the Edna mine <br />The permittee's weed control plan is found in Permit Appendix 4.4 -G. Chevron Mining Inc. commits to <br />compliance with the weed control regulations, guidelines and permit stipulations form the DMG [the <br />Division], Routt County and the State of Colorado through implementation of the approved weed <br />control plan. Weed management efforts will focus on weedy plant species listed in Routt County <br />Noxious Weed Management Plan, DMG Guidelines for weed management, and species on the Colorado <br />State Noxious Weed list. The permittee commits to ensuring that, "weed management efforts are carried <br />out over adequate number of growing seasons to realize effective weed management within the permit <br />area." <br />2. Chevron Mining Inc.'s approved weed management plan states that, "The Routt County weed <br />control coordinator will be consulted regarding weed management practices." Please direct the <br />Division to documentation that this consultation occurred, or if this information has not been <br />included in the permit, please provide this documentation. (Rule 4.15.1(5)) <br />The operator provided updated ownership and control information, as well as an updated Surface Owner <br />Map, Map 3.7 -1. The operator provided proof of effective liability insurance with the renewal <br />application. <br />Please provide responses to the Division's concerns prior to August 18, 2011, in order for the Division <br />to meet regulatory timeframes.
